FINANCE
With the fund requirement to the extent
of Rs. 50 million to raise a hospital of 200 bed capacity, the
construction of the first phase has been managed by funds received
through donations from the beneficiaries of Sikh communities and
also other communities as well. In the first phase the capital input
had been Rs. 10.00 million.
The work of construction of the first and second floor of the
hospital is now in progress. Over 30,000 square feet of the area has
already been constructed and the second phase is scheduled to be
completed by December 2000. Funds are now required to provide the
equipment and for provision of infrastructure to complete the
hospital.
Vigorous drive has been launched for further collection of funds
from within the Sikh community and others and also from the Sikh
community abroad.
A policy decision has been taken by the committee to go for
donations to meet the initial expenditure of construction and
equipments for the hospital with a view to avoiding taking heavy
loan from Bank or other Financial Institutions. The burden of
repayment of loan with interest will not be economical in long run.
Hence, it has been further decided to approach NRI's, specially from
the Sikh community residing abroad to collect donation for the
expenses of the Guru Nanak Hospital and Research Centre, Ranchi.
